The following digital design was created for and with Jeder Institute through a series of zoom workshops for their RAP document and to be able to be used throughout their business. After the design was created, we custom made table circles for programs.
Artwork Story
This artwork shares the story of the Jeder Institute and a vision of reconciliation through bringing people together to realise their individual potential and the strength of community.
The central imagery highlights the Jeder institute through a large gathering circle overlayed by a traditional interpretation of the Jeder logo. This imagery along with traditional people symbols surrounding the logo reflect that Jeder is Human Centred, welcomes everyone and champions diversity and inclusion.
The Four Jeder pillars are evident in this logo and throughout the design. These strength-based pillars representing Participatory Leadership, Co-Creation for Change, Generosity of Spirit and Self-Organising appear throughout the artwork as interwoven values across Jeder’s Australian footprint. Seen at the centre of gatherings this imagery is reflective of connecting, belonging and collaborations with emphasis on these important values.
Three Elders symbols within the design bring an acknowledgement of country and to all Traditional Custodians throughout our Nation. The imagery highlights the valuable contribution Indigenous Australians bring and is reflective of working together towards reconciliation across the three key focus areas of Respect, Relationships and Opportunities.
People symbols flow across the artwork, from eight gathering circles within the design, highlighting Jeder’s footprint on country across Australia's six States and two Territories.
People gather, journeying and connecting across the artwork, depicts doing life together where everyone experiences acceptance and equality while working together to bring creative, quality, innovative outcomes through unity, listening and inclusive collaboration, that all can be proud of.
A backdrop of interwoven songlines on country connects the artwork themes as one and hold a threefold meaning. They represent:
- Our diverse and beautiful country from waterways to hills, mountains, valleys, deserts and plains;
- Authentic relationships and connection across Jeder;
- The Coastal water imagery outline highlights Jeder’s connections overseas.
Together this artwork celebrates Mariin, meaning Everyone and highlights that we each have something unique to offer - ‘Together we are Better’.
