Connecting Country
Connecting country shares the interconnected linkages across tribal group throughout the Central Coast and Hunter region. Gathering circles interwoven into a backdrop of songlines on country capture a society and lifestyle that had complex kin systems, lore, education and caring for country practices. Pathways within the design tie tribal groups together, depicting ongoing relationship through trade, ceremony, language, customs and tradition that supported thousands of years of living together in harmony with each other and country.
