Generations Malang

Generations Malang, meaning generations together portrays the value of people and connection.

The two interconnected people symbols highlight teamwork, collaboration and going forward together around shared vision as we do life together in our families and communities. People symbols also reflect family clan group, connection, relationships, belonging and identity within a family structure.

Aboriginal kinship and family structures are cohesive forces which bind Aboriginal people together across the generations.

The artwork acknowledges the Awabakal people through the songlines on country backdrop that depicts waterways of our coastline and Hunter River in colour palette and design, as well as the engraving symbolic of the hills and plains for which Awabakal lands are known.
