Kuruwarang - Long Time Ago
Kuruwarang (Wanarruwa Language)
This rich and vibrantly coloured artwork tells the story of generations of Aboriginal people, past present and into the future. The repeated circles and people symbols running around the canvas are depictive of family clan groups and close connection across extended family. The link to culture passed down from long ago, through the generations as ‘word of mouth’ story telling is also symbolised in the flow of colourful continuous meeting circles, meaning coming together and sharing.
