Wakool Katowa Parai highlights the beauty and diversity of country.

The artwork celebrates cultural heritage, and the strong connection traditional custodians hold with the lands and waterways on country.

Engraved gathering circles are embraced within songlines on country at the top of the artwork depicting Aboriginal Nations, cultural links to each other and connection to country over past, present and future generations.

Central pathways flowing horizontally across the centre of the canvas highlight our diverse and awe inspiring landscapes of plains, valleys and mountain ranges, beneath which water imagery reflects the life of water and our many waterways from coastline to wetland.  Four small gatherings interwoven within country imagery bring an acknowledgment to traditional custodians and the importance of caring for country held as a foundational cultural value.

Message sticks undergird the artwork, sharing the message of reconciliation and working together around shared vision to care for country as we go forward and embrace being one with country into the future.

Stunning artwork

I love this artwork and it’s mounted proud of place in our home. The texture of the art adds a 3-dimensional aspect to the art. The entire process of ordering and delivery was very personal for both us and the Saretta family. When delivered they opened and presented it to us. Thank you
