Every clan has a totem. Every totem has a story.

In Aboriginal culture, a totem is a natural object — plant or animal — inherited by members of a clan as their emblem. Each group is responsible for the stewardship of their totem, caring for it across generations. Saretta's totem is the Wedge Tail Eagle.

Yunung — the Turtle — is one of the most respected animals in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. Both saltwater and freshwater turtles were an abundant and favourite food source; females with eggs were returned to the water, while males were cooked in the shell on the open fire. The turtle's shell served many purposes in daily life, and the turtle features prominently in Dreamtime and creation stories as a totem to several tribal groups.

Part of the Totem Series — originally commissioned for Hunter Health in 2014, and connected to the Tankaan Ngatan Bobong (Mother and Baby) collection celebrating pregnancy, birth, and motherhood across the Hunter Valley.

Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Full refund provided if you’re not happy.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase to be included with the returned item.

Refunds:

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval of your refund.

Once approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 days.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
