Parai series 19

This vibrantly coloured artwork captures the diverse beauty of my country, Wonnarua, located in the Hunter Valley of NSW Australia.
A land, of mountains and valleys, richly interlaced vibrantly colored rock forms and crystal clear waterways, dramatic in color and rich in cultural significance.
Highly textured flowing lines, holding a twofold meaning:
- Representing our peoples connection to country through use of rich early ochre tones, used for corroboree and rock art, and
- Our clans songlines (Borii), depicting walking trails, pilgrimage and trade routes interlaced across Wonnarua country.
Size: 400(w) x 300(h) mm
Medium: Mixed medium on premium stretched canvas with hanging hooks and wire.
Year: December 2021
