This artwork tells the story of my Clan and the unbreakable spiritual tie that links us together across time and generations, connecting us as one proud people of the Wonaruah Nation. It depicts our corroboree, gathering together in song, dance, storytelling and celebration. This central interconnected circles symbolic of Elders. Their placement top and centre on the canvas reflects their position of respect and leadership. The lines radiating from them embrace the women, children and clan members. The vibrant and strong colour of the piece aims to capture the observer in the life, movement and sound of the corroboree. Drawing one into the celebration and creating a sense of belonging and kinship.
