Wakool Konara Yamuloong shares the story of family connection and gathering together.
The artwork is uniquely significant to Lauren & Gareth and their three children Kayah, Jonah and Hannah, who are placed central to the artwork, as 5 smaller gathering circles around the campfire imagery, The smaller gathering circles highlight family members and are reflective of the present family unit, while also capturing the shared value of family and community pasted on to future generation. This imagery sits on a larger gathering circle, symbolic of the family home within the artwork.
Flowing into the central imagery, traditional people symbols depict connection and gathering of extended family, friends and community, as people gather and all are welcomed and come together at the Hutchinson-Green home to do life together.
The artwork sites on a backdrop of songlines on country, acknowledging the Awabakal people as the people of the hills and plains and capturing the families footprint on country by the shores of the beautiful Awaba (Lake Macquarie) within the interwoven blues . Message stick symbolise across the top of the artwork, shares the message of the value of people, each unique and precious and the invitation to wakool konara Yamuloong.

TERMS
Commissioning an artwork is an exciting and collaborative process with time invested in obtaining a thorough brief to ensure your vision is realised. I have wide-ranging experience in creating site-specific artwork for both residential and commercial spaces.
When pricing my artwork I factor in the dimensions of the work, the costs of the material to be used and the labour intercity of the techniques and processes that will be employed in creating your work.
Once a decision is made to move forward with a design a 25% deposit is required to enable us to proceed.
