Scope of Work
To present an Aboriginal Art presentation and workshop to 30 students that culminates in the creation of an outdoor school mural.
The workshop will be presented over a ½ day where students learn about local Aboriginal art and traditional visual story telling. Students will create their own artworks, sharing their story in traditional symbolism and design. Students artworks will be presented in an outdoor mural that reflects community connection and country.
Mural creation session: Over 2 days with 15 students per day
Artist Contribution
Oversee project outcomes including conduct presentation, workshop, and mural creation.
Inclusions:
Mural Size: 6m x 2.4 m high
Mural preparation and backdrop creation depicting local significant sites and songlines. This will be engraved and painted in a sandstone medium reflective of local and national sandstone Aboriginal Artworks on country and depict traditional gathering circles. Each engraved circle will create a textured frames for individual students artworks to be painted by students. Together within the mural the gathering circles will represent our community connections, while highlighting our unique story’s.
